Whale Watching

Come to see humpback whales in their natural environment. These gentle giants can weigh up to 80,000 pounds and grow up to 52 feet long. Whale watching season in Los Cabos is from mid-November until the end of March. In January, it is common to see newborn calves. They come up to the surface to breathe more frequently than their moms. Humpback whales are known for their acrobatic skills, leaping and breaching out of the water. Look out for whale spouts and flukes as they come up for air and descend back down into the water. They can be heard singing underwater with hydrophones and are known to make the most complex sounds in the animal kingdom. There are many reputable whale watching tours in Los Cabos. Don´t miss your chance to witness one of nature's most beautiful and majestic creatures.

For the true enthusiast, there are many options to really go deep with a guided scuba dive, but for the lighter side of viewing, book any of the magical snorkeling trips around the sea. If you’re visiting in the winter, be sure to go on a whale watching trip, as there are few things more majestic than the grey whale breaching the surface.

If it’s a day of discovering the deep waters, it’s all about gear and transportation.
